TitleLetter from William Horace Montagu-Pollock, to John David Griffith Davies, Royal Society, Burlington House, W.1.
Date19 June 1945
DescriptionResponse to the Assistant Secretary's letter of 18 June regarding Sir Henry Thomas Tizard's proposed visit to Northern Europe. Pollock had established that the Dutch Embassy wish to postpone Tizard's visit due to a decision to discourage visits from foreign scientists in the immediate future, with hopes of the situation becoming clearer in six weeks to two months time. Pollock also requests that he is informed of Tizard's plans with regard to his other intended visits to Norway and Denmark, so that he can inform representatives in Oslo and Copenhagen of any change of plan.
