DescriptionResponse to Tizard's letter of 12 August, the Assistant Secretary notes that Charles Taft reported that he had enjoyed his conversation with Tizard, that he is writing to Mr Higginson to recommend Tizard's proposal for patent rights of the inventions be vested in William Deacon's Bank. He sent Tizard's leter to Brian W Downs to the British Council on the basis that they could forward it to him through diplomatic chanels.

Davies also notes that he is trying to trace the BBC person in the European Talks Section to whom Tizard spoke.
