| Description | The [Gunning] fund being considered by a special committee should be dedicated in part to biological sciences and its objects re-considered every three years. He suggests that it might be dedicated to providing a Biological Station in Great Britain, such as the Plymouth Marine Biological Station, with the necessary equipment to study the comparative physiology of simpler marine organisms. The main difficulty in starting any thorough physiological investigation of this type is want of physical and chemical equipment used in physiological laboratories. He does not need to urge to Foster the importance of such investigations into the simple organs of lower organisms.
