Description | Material on the estate of Henry Gwyn Jeffreys Moseley, killed in action at Gallipoli in 1915. Moseley donated the whole of his estate to the Royal Society for 'the furtherance of experimental research in pathology, physics and chemistry, or other branches of science, but not in pure mathematics, astronomy or any other branch of scence which aims merely at describing, cataloguing, of systematizing'. His mother, Amabel Nevill Gwyn Jeffreys (1852-1928) (later Moseley and later Amabel Nevill Sollas) added a further sum in 1928. |
