The sequence covers the period of the Second World War, but is incomplete, with the alphabetically-arranged files commencing at 'H'. The files begin with obituaries of the Assistant Secretary, Robert Harrison: there is also information on other notable members of staff, including Assistant Librarians Alfred Hastings White and Bruno Stulz, and the Assistant Librarian and Assistant Secretary, Ronald Winckworth.
