TitleLetter from Sir Joseph Banks, Soho Square, to Thomas Polfield

DescriptionOn dispatching to Polfield ("by the York waggon") a work by the German botanist Valerius Cordus. Banks also asks Polfield whether specimens of any rare plants he finds could be sent to him and congratulates him on his attempt to extrocate the old synonyms of the English plants from the obscurity and confusion which more modern botanists have brought upon them.
