DescriptionNotes describe an experiment on liquids conducted in freezing temperatures and the reading before the Royal Society by John Fothergill, of a paper entitled 'An account of the magnetical machine contrived by the late Dr Gavin Knight'.

Although the meeting was held on 27th November 1776, it is not clear when this copy was made.
