Weldon had a paper published in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London' in 1893 on crabs entitled On 'Certain Correlated Variations in Carcinus maenas'. In 1894 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London' also published a paper by the Evolution Committee entitled "An Attempt to Measure the Death-Rate due to the Selective Destruction of Carcinus Moenas with respect to a Particular Dimension".
