Title | Letter from William Windham MP to Sir Joseph Banks |
Date | [7 May 1793] |
Description | He proposes to defer the first meeting of the Committee on the Mudge Petition until Wednesday [8th May] and on that day he thinks it best to talk over the matter informally without calling any persons to give evidence.
Thomas Mudge petitioned Parliament after his Father's instrument to determine Longitude was awarded £500. Mudge believed it should have claimed the higher sums offered by the Board of Longitude. |
