DescriptionAnderson writes: "And in this System, there is a Rule given, founded also on Mathematical Principles, by which when the Mariner has found his latitude by Observation, he may readily find his true Longitude, independent of Observation on Celestial Bodies, Astronomical Tables and Calculations, Time-Keepers, or any Mechanical Invention whatsoever; a Discovery long wanted to compleat the Art of Navigation".
