DescriptionOn Rumford sending them an essay by him entitled "On the Management of Fire and the Economy of Fuel" ("...which constains an account of all my researches and Experiments respecting heat...").

Rumford also informs Cadel & Davies of essays he is currently writing on "Culinary processes and the contruction of fire-places" and on shoes ("A very humble subject...but...millions may be saved annually by the lower and midling classes in Great Britain by adopting the simple convenient and elegant improvements I shall propose in the Art of Shoe-making. I am now introducing them in the Bavarian Army").
