DescriptionTwo specimens of pentagonal pennants on board the Luna 2, the sixth of the Soviet Union's Luna programme spacecraft launched to the Moon, E-1 No.7. In a wooden carry box, lined with blue velvet, and an image of the lunar surface on the lid interior, the Luna 2's site highlighted. These plaques were designed to scatter on the lunar surface upon impact.
