DescriptionThe Council of the Royal Society has voted £150 for the purchase of instruments previously belonging to the Hammerfest observatory.

Replacement maximum and minimum thermometers are to be ordered for and sent to [Charles James Buchanan] Riddell at the Toronto observatory.

The Report of the Royal Society relative to the magnetic scheme is almost published.

The order from the Pacha of Egypt for instruments for the Cairo observatory has been received and makes no restrictions.
