DescriptionBroun’s has made three series of observations to determine the temperature correction for the vertical force needle. Broun informs Lloyd that a small wooden house has been built and contains the unifilar and dip instruments. Broun discusses the building and the placement of the instruments in relation to the magnetic meridian. Broun describes experiments in the wooden house regarding temperature and the vertical force needle. Discussion on Broun’s method to test the accuracy of the temperature experiments results. Discussion on the difference in temperature and micrometer. Broun discusses deflection results. Broun expresses his dislike for working with the vertical force needle.
