Description | Bolzani notes the describes the reasons which prevented him from responding to Sabine’s letter. Bolzani wanted to rest his eyes as much as possible after straining them. Expresses his gratitude to Sabine for lending him funds, and is confident he will be able to forward the sum of his debt to Sabine soon. Discussion regarding the budget of universities [in Russia], as informed by their minister ‘the secretary of state for education and scientific affairs’, and its effects. Bolzani hopes to order instruments next year, if ‘this most unhappy polish affair does not grow into a European war’ which will cause ‘miseries’ and cut them [Russia] off from England. |
