Bolzani would like an apparatus to measure the whole force, and has requested Mr Balfour Stewart to order such an instrument for the [University of Kazan], and asks Sabine to examine this instrument before it leaves London. Bolzani asks Sabine if the Royal Society regularly receives a scientific paper published by his university.
