Refers to receiving additional collection of seawater from Sir James [Clark] Ross, Admiral [Robert] FitzRoy and the Swedish Spitzbergen expedition. References the death of the King [Frederick VII]. Forchhammer will be unable to attend the next meeting of the British Association due to ‘the present state of’ their ‘political situation’. |
