Title | Incomplete letter from Edward Sabine to [Charles] Pasley |
Date | 17 October 1865 |
Description | Sabine refers to a letter he received from Professor [William Parkinson] Wilson ‘announcing that the legislature has decided on obtaining a new telescope’, and its payment is to be sent to Pasley. Wilson also informs Sabine that ‘a definite contract’ should be made by Pasley with Mr Grubb in order to avoid ‘any possible change of purpose’. Sabine has written to Grub through Dr Robinson to let him know of what to expect and to sign the contract as soon as possible. Discussion regarding the certificate of payment. |
