DescriptionTo the request for a report on the calculating machine recently constructed my Mr Doukin, based on the plan of a machine invented and constructed by Mr Scheutz, who was himself influenced by Babbage's partially constructed machine. Informs a committee was set up consisting of W H miller, Mr Wheatstone, Prof. Willis and Stokes himself. Sends the report. 'For report see fol. 154' [See MS/426/675] Also notes that No. 15 proceedings was also sent. [Neither are enclosed].
