Description'Dear Sir, I am directed to acknowledge receipt of your letter addressed to the President in which you express your desire to withdraw from the Fellowship of the Royal Society, and to inform you that the same was read at the last meeting of Council, and that your name will be removed from the list of the Royal Society whenever it may be convenient for your agents to pay your subscription for the year commencing March 25, 1862'.
