DescriptionIs sorry that Parsons is laid up with influenza. Describes his interview with Captain Dumas who has promised to send an HMS Vernon expert to the Heaton Works. One small detail remains, the provision of a removable cover on the mine, for access to the setting gear. Clerk also intends coming to Heaton to settle everything. The Admiralty will want the mine produced quickly once that has happened.
