|Title||Letter from [Archibald Geikie] to Captain [Robert Falcon] Scott|
|Date||18 January 1909|
|Description||Handwritten draft of MS/591/15/13.|
Geikie writes that he had not intented Admiral Field to act as arbitrator in the dispute over the Meteorological Volume from the Discovery Expedition, but he had consulted him rather as someone well-qualified to give an honest opinion. Geikie reassures Scott that everything is being done to attempt to assure justice for all parties involved, and that the Council of the Royal Society is prepared to see that corrections be made in the second Meteorological Volume and a fly-slip inserted into the first volume.
