Title | Letter from W H [William Henry] Bragg, Rosehurst, Grosvenor Road, Leeds, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Bragg; Sir; William Henry (1862-1942); British physicist |
Date | 10 January n.y. |
Description | He began to answer Larmor's letter two days ago but postponed it because Schuster had marked his letter as confidential. Bragg knew it was not meant to be kept from Larmor, but he wanted to ask Schuster as a courtesy, since he had not met him. He now knows that Schuster and Larmor have discussed the subject, so Larmor knows Schuster's views. Bragg thinks that Schuster is right to avoid the discussuon of details, officially, and he asks if it would be possible, after a private interchange, to offer a grant of £50. Bragg feels a difficulty in that there may be a past history which he is not aware of, and asks if it would be better to wait until next Thursday, so that they could talk, and he may be able to see Major Hills. |
