Description | Om Monday, word came of the death of Mrs. Bumstead's father, necessitating their early return to the Unites States. He has passage on a transport sailing at the weekend and since the urgency of much of his work has diminished, he is able to leave it to Mr. Farnsworth. They had expected to stay until May and he had planned to spend a week or two in Cambridge, renewing old friendships. They had hoped to see Larmor in London, but must give up these anticipations. He finds that he is by no means ready to leave England. Bumstead hopes to see Larmor in America, perhaps at a Solar Conference. |
