DescriptionHe is anxious to hear Gladstone's opinion of Brewster's lighthouse claims. Asks Gladstone to reconsider two passages and the Stevenson's declarations in general. The fact that the Secretary of the Royal Society, John Robinson, was on intimate terms with the Stevensons and the Scottish Commissioners was significant, he claims. Forwards a copy of Playfair and Tait's brief report.
