TitleDraft letter from Michael Foster to Colonel Parnell
DescriptionInforms that at a meeting of the Council of the Royal Society on 25 October his letters of 2 August and 13 October were read, regarding his offer to write a report on the scene of the recent earthquake at Ischia. Informs the matter was taken into consideration but that the Council does not feel at present prepared to depute away one to undertake the duties in question. Written in the back of a page of a minute of the procedure of the Council in adjudication of the metals of the Royal Society dated 2 June 1853.
