TitleDraft letter from Michael Foster to Vice Admiral Robert Hall CB
DescriptionAppreciates the favour of the Admiralty in permitting that a surveying might be detached for a dredging cruise in the Faro channel during the coming summer, and informs that no more than two naturalists will require accommodation on board the vessel. Also informs that in answer to his inquiry, Mr Murray's opinion is that £100 will suffice for the cost of the necessary dredging and sounding gear. Back: crossed out notes in pencil.
