Declaration reads ' I do solemnly and sincerely declare that I do promise to deal faithfully and honestly in all things belonging to the trust committed to me as one of the Council of the Royal Society of London for Improving Natural Knowledge during my employment in that capacity ; and that I make this solemn Declaration by virtue of the provisions of an Act made and passed in the fifth and sixth years of the reign of H. M. King William IV, Chapter LXII. '
