TitleLetter from Patrick Manson, Mount Gable Hotel, Clonbur, Co. Galway, to Ambrose Thomas Stanton
Date24 September 1908
DescriptionDaniels has forwarded Stanton's letter with Fraser's and their joint paper. The paper is excellent. He hopes that others will go on with the work or at least act on the indications for prisons, schools or hospitals with regard to rice. Daniels will be leaving in March 1909 and Manson would like Stanton to take his place. The committee would probably not offer so big a salary as Daniels', but Manson will help to get as much as he can. Gives comments on the role of Director. Suggests that Stanton write a letter outlining his terms. The appointment has to be ratified by the Management Committee of the Seaman's Hospital Society.
