DescriptionProof of a colour plate used in the book 'Soap bubbles: their colours and the forces which mould them', by Charles Vernon Boys (London, SPCK, 1912). The completed plate, which included Fraunhofer lines not present in this early version, faced p.149 in the second edition and was also used as a cover illustration. This proof has Boys's manuscript headings with amendments to the colours within the chart.
