DescriptionList of observational suggestions for voyages to the North Pole. The introductory remarks to the text state that: 'The President having reported to Council of the |Royal Society at their last Meeting, that the Bod. of Longitude were desirous of their or any of their Assistance to the Capt. or Observer, by way of Directions, or Instructions for the more effectual Improvement of the intended Polar Voyage...' This refers to the preparations for the expeditionary voyage commanded by Constantine John Phipps (1744-1794), later 2nd Baron Mulgrave.
