DescriptionLloyd is replying to Riddell's two letters from 27th July and 27th August. Lloyd informs Riddell he has just returned from his 'continental' tour. Discussion on the equilibrium of Riddell's magnets. Discussion on the observations of the horizontal force, the vertical force and changes to the coefficient. Discussion on the strength of the magnets in Riddell's possession. Lloyd suggests not to remagnetise the magnets of fair strength, and how to get a good deflection form the weaker magnet. Lloyd praises Riddell's idea of observing the temperature corrections of the vertical force. Discussion on the August term day. Lloyd informs Riddell of sending another letter through Edward Sabine regarding six months returns.
