Styled reports on lava, the work commences: 'seguito delle observioni soprata lava di 1787' [following comments on lava 1787] and then groups annual gatherings of material on eruptions and lava flow.

The spine label is lettered: 'VESUVIO VOL. 5. SEGUITO 1787 DA 29. MAGGIO 1792'.
