TitleLetter from Professor Sir Richard Owen at Royal College of Surgeons to Mrs Buckland
Datend
DescriptionDated 26 April
Encloses Sir K W's receipt and a similar acknowledgement for the specimens she was kind enough to entrust to his care. States hers is a most correct diagnosis (as the Doctor's call an opinion when it is on a medical matter) of their good and dear friends deafness. The medicine which cheerful society applies to the mind, does him most good. They had snow there last night, and faceache afflicts his wife, whose nerves are like a barometer...they look for a more genial occasion when they hope also to see her and her daughters to whom Cary sends her love with his regards.
