DescriptionBrooke’s queries have largely been answered by consulting Captain [Charles James Buchanan] Riddell’s magnetical instructions and supplements. Brooke enquires about obtaining two copies of Riddell’s instructions, one for his personal use and another for a friend who is setting up a magnetic observatory on the coast of Norfolk, and discusses the instruments furnished for the observatory.
