TitleNotebooks from lectures attended by Dr Arthur Mourant FRS
Date1920s
DescriptionCollection of handwritten notes from lectures attended by Arthur Mourant during his undergraduate studies at Exeter College, Oxford. Mourant spent ten years at Exeter College from 1922, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1925, first class honors in chemistry in 1926, and a Doctor of Philosophy in geology in 1931.

These handwritten, handmade notebooks are particularly notable because of the calibre of Mourant's lecturers, who include Frederick Soddy FRS, EJ Bowen FRS, Nevil Sidgwick FRS, Harold Hartley FRS and Cyril Hinshelwood FRS. Each notebook is titled with the term, topic and lecturer.

Further papers of Arthur Mourant are held at the Wellcome Collection Library.
