DescriptionSending a portfolio from Mr Green containing Dr [Marshall] Hall's paper and Mr Owen's ['On the mammary glands of the ornithorhynclius paradoxus'], for communication to the Society. Mr [John Frederic] Daniell's paper on the water barometer ['On the water-barometer erected in the hall of the Royal Society'] has also been received. Hudson's own paper ['Hourly observations on the barometer; with experimental investigations into the phenomena of its periodical oscillation'] will be ready by Thursday and will be short. The gentleman for whom Sir George Staunton borrowed a manuscript is now deceased and the volume has been returned to the Society.
