TitleCopy letter, James Hudson, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society, to Dr [William Henry] Fitton
Date15 September 1832
DescriptionHudson sends the 1720 volume of the History and Memoirs of the Academy of Sciences to Fitton. [John William] Lubbock has decreed that all books should be in the Library that month, but Hudson does not suppose that the book's absence for a few days in the interests of scientific research will be of consequence. He notes references to Reaumur and Fontenelle in the volume and apologises if the book does not reach him as quickly as he might want.
