DescriptionHudson has referred to the Statutes but cannot find it stated that money should be paid before Council can grant an extension to the admission of a Fellow-elect. The custom has been to make payment an essential preliminary to this and Hudson cannot remember an exception. Hudson encloses the accompanying paper to Sir Thomas Phillipps' letter and a copy of John William Lubbock's letter to Sir David Brewster.
