TitleCopy letter, John William Lubbock, Treasurer of the Royal Society, to Professor [Stephen Peter] Rigaud
Date22 May 1832
DescriptionHudson has informed him that Rigaud will assist in revisng the proof of the catalogue. It has been compiled by [Jean-Baptiste] Baillière who is working quickly. It was thought desirable to have subject sections checked by appropriate Fellows for suggestions on purchases, and to approve purchases already made, since these can now be returned without loss to the Society. The [Library] Committee wishes to have the classes as perfect as possible, as there is no good London library on these topics. The College of Surgeons has the thing to be desired in medical subjects.
