DescriptionInform of the decision of the Council to Commission Mr. [Richard] Westmacott to construct a pedestal for the Bust of Joseph Banks. This is on the understanding that he is about to receive a commission from Mr. [James] Watt for 2 pedestals for the busts of Watt's father [James Watt] and Sir Isaac Newton. Explains Mr. Westmacott has wished for a letter from Watt or a representative to commission the 2 pedestals. Gives Westmacott's address as Wilton Place, Knightsbridge.
