TitleCopy letter from C R [Charles Richard] Weld, the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir David Brewster
Date7 February 1848
DescriptionApologises if David Brewster feels injustice at having Mr Saunderson to charge him for the carriage of the books from Mr [Dominique Francois Jean]Arago. Informs he will pay the amount if this is the case. Explains the box only contained 3 vols of the 'Comples Rendus' and 18 shillings were paid for the amount due to the Royal Society. Again apologises if an impression was formed of making Brewster pay more than he needed to.
