Description | Informs that the beautiful drawings on Copernicus on 3 April. This was followed by a reading of a paper comparing the drawings of Copernicus with that of Gassendi by Sir John Phillips, who is interested in the delineations of the moon's surface. All agreed it would be desirable to send the drawings to those with large telescopes. Asks for the best way to have copies, assuring the expenses will be offset by the Royal Society. Failing that, ask if copies can be made at the Royal Society, either by photography or engraving. |
