DescriptionThe last session of Parliament decided on the motion of Mr [James] Heywood to appoint a committee to improve relations between science and the Government. Palmeston [Henry John Temple] at the session expressed a readiness to reply on the opinions of the main cultivators of Science for advise on important matters. After much consideration and deliberation, sends the resolution of the Royal Society, and on the approval of the British Association, of the support for these measures.
