TitleCopy letter from G G [George Gabriel] Stokes, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Dr Heale
Date1 May 1861
DescriptionInforms that one of Dr Heale's papers and illustration proported to have been lost, has been found among parcels of magnetic observations. Assumes it might have become mixed with the parcels during the move from Somerset house to Burlington house. States that the permission given in 1859 to have the illustrations copied still stands, but on Stoke's understanding, Heale has already repaired the loss.
