TitleCopy letter from [George Gabriel] Stokes, Secretary of the Royal Society; to [Charles] McMunn, Lewisfield Cottage, Cambridge
Date19 June 1880
DescriptionUpdates [Charles] McMunn on the situation of the publication of his paper on the Spectra of Urine. ['Researches into the colouring-matters of human urine, with an account of the separation of urobilin'] States the paper has been approved for publishing, minus one plate, although a referee is of the opinion that both plates can be removed. Informs the Royal Society does not publish anything in colour unless for very important discoveries and the readers will likely know the corresponding colours. Another Referee suggests getting rid of the table, but keeping the wave length results. Asks for the author's opinion but will continue to produce the necessary woodblocks for the plates.
