Title | Letter from Charles Algernon Parsons, Ray, Kirkwelpington, Newcastle-on-Tyne, to [Dugald] Clerk |
Date | 3 October 1915 |
Description | Asks Clerk to recall a meeting with Henry Jackson and Captain Dumas concerning a secret patent. Since Parsons has had no word of it and understands that Beardmore has ideas about oscillating mines, he wrote to Dumas to ask if the patent had been lodged. Nothing had been done and therefore Parsons met with Dumas and Admiralty patent men to draw up the specification. He believes that Clerk's name should be on it and therefore a copy will be forwarded. The first complete mine is just finished and will be sent to HMS Vernon. The second will be ready in ten days.. |
