DescriptionThanking Oldham for a scale, which he has been unable to try, but thinks that the German heavy howitzer would be ideal to try it on. Corry has been in action for a fortnight, dug into the shrubberies of a big house. Describes the location and his day-to-day life in the trenches: "Nothing exciting ever happens as the German sleeps all day and shoots all night".
