TitleLetter from Robert Falcon Scott, British Antarctic Expedition 1910, 36 & 38 Victoria Street, London, to Sir Archibald Geikie, President, Royal Society
Date21 March 1910
DescriptionScott acknowledges Geikie's letter concerning the Meteorological Volume from the Discovery Expedition from 13 February 1909, and states that he had prepared further notes regarding the matter, but that they related to William Napier Shaw's letter rather than the Meteorological Volume itself. That said, Scott does not think discussing Shaw's letter further would help matters, and is willing to have the case be judged based on his letters alone. He writes that errors should be corrected in the preface to the second Meteorological Volume, particularly with regards to the criticism of the pressure observations.
