Regae Societas PRAESES Anoo Domni. 1721." Newton's coat of arms, bearing crossed bones, appears at the centre of this inscription. Signed lower left "G.P.Harding". Inscribed lower right in pencil: "facsimile copy of le Marchand's original in R.S.collection."
